About the Author

Hello everyone! Welcome to my personal travel blog. biggrin

My name is Lovely (Yup, that’s my real name 🙂 ). I’m a girl from the Philippines who has a passion and love for travel. I finished my degree in Development Communication, then after that I lived in Taiwan for 5 months to learn Mandarin Chinese. Now, I’m living in the Philippines and I’m teaching as my part-time job. I created this blog to share my life experiences and travel adventures. Traveling is one of my passions in life. I love meeting new people, eating new foods, seeing new places and discovering other cultures.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

  4. Hi Lovely,
I noticed one of your rail pictures during an unrelated search and ended up at your site. It is nice to see someone no matter the age getting out there and doing it.
Anyway I have a couple friends who are into rail and I’ll be forwarding your site on to them.
Have fun in your journeys and who knows you might make it to Australia if you haven’t all ready done so.

Hi Lovely, interesting blog you got here. I’m a fellow itchyfeet, though I blog mainly about life and my advocacy for children’s welfare.

Since you’re a travel bug, I hope you can also visit the rock formations we have in a town in Northern Samar. I’ve actually posted some of them at my blog.

Here’s to more places to explore!

    • Hello Nortehanon! Thanks for visiting! I just checked out your blog and I was really impressed by the rock formations you have there in Samar. How I wish I could go there soon. I’ll make sure to book a trip there on the next Cebu Pacific seat sales.

I’m glad to meet someone who blogs about children’s welfare. Keep up the sharing and keep on exploring! 🙂

Hi, I’ve seen you on John Tugano’s blog. That explains why you are reading this now. 🙂

I just feel comforted whenever I stumble upon people who have love and passion for travel (and teaching). I am too. But unlike you, I am just a local wanderer. I am still waiting for that day when I can already call myself a globetrotter too. For now, I am happy with where I’m at and to where my feet and “purse” can take me.

Browsing your homepage gave me a ticket to set foot on the different countries you’ve been too. Your pictures are awe-inspiring! Glad to meet you here, Ma’am.

Continue sharing your beautiful photos … and stories.

    • Hi Sony! 🙂 It was really nice reading your comment. I’m glad to know that you have a passion for traveling and teaching as well. Like you, I also feel delighted every time I meet people who have an unquenchable desire to explore the beautiful world we live in. I commend you for travelling domestically first. I think that it’s always best to start traveling within our country first to discover the beautiful places around the Philippines. 🙂

I’m not yet an expert in traveling as I’ve been officially bitten by the travel bug only last year but somehow I’m happy that I was able to give you a glimpse of the different countries in Asia by sharing my trips. I hope that you will keep on exploring and blogging too. I know that there are still a lot of places that you will be able to visit in the future. Safe journeys Sony and thank you so much for stopping by! 😀

your blog really are amazing! I had fun reading all the places you been into! nice job !!

Before me and my gf set to tie the knot next year, naisip namin baket di muna kaya tayo magtravel? madami muna kami pupuntahan na destinations so that pag kinasal na kami & we have our chikitings and still work for the dough, we will not have regrets that “sana pumunta tayo sa ganito, ganyan..” and instead, “oh hon remember this picture when we’re at (place?) we had so much fun here, there, etc..” haayzz.. what good memories!..

THanks a lot Ms. Lovely!!! GOD bless! \m/

    • Naks naman, nakakatuwa naman kayo ng gf mo 🙂 I’m sure it would be truly priceless to travel with your special someone. hihi. I think you’re really lucky to have a partner who also loves to travel. I agree with your decision to travel a lot before marriage. At least madami na kayong travel stories na mai-se-share sa mga chikitings nyo pag mag-asawa na kayo. 🙂

I wanna give my best wishes in advance for your wedding next year. Sana madami pa kayong mapuntahan ng gf mo. Thanks so much for the comment Tembelt Jobo! I wish you all the best! God bless and keep on exploring! 🙂

    Hi, Lovely! It’s been a while …

I know it’s awkward to ask a favor but I really wanted to learn about how you made your blogsite personalized. Thing is, I tried really hard to create a default page that is exactly the same as yours. I mean what readers may see upon clicking your page. I couldn’t figure out how to make my page appear like yours, particularly that summary text and a featured picture shown for each blog post. and how to set a background to modify the old which is the plain white color.

    Please help!

I hope you will respond to this, Lovely.

    Best esteem.

Hi, Lovely! I just thought I owe you a reply so here I am … I’d like to thank you for the “tutorial”. I did try everything you told me; however, I resorted back to the original appearance. Having said that, I appreciated of course all the efforts you gave for that favor.

Again, thank you for making me a virtual traveler (to the places I haven’t been yet particularly abroad). Cheers … for more travels to come our paths!

Hello maam, I just left a comment dun sa Maribago Blue water resort niyo 🙂 pwede ba mag stay dun as late as 9 pm? or 8 am to 5 pm lang talaga? 🙂 Please reply, thank you po, nice blog 🙂

  17. I have to show thanks to this writer just for rescuing me from this particular setting. After looking out through the the web and meeting recommendations which were not beneficial, I believed my life was over. Existing without the solutions to the problems you’ve solved through your main write-up is a serious case, as well as the kind that could have badly damaged my entire career if I hadn’t come across your blog. Your personal natural talent and kindness in taking care of the whole thing was precious. I’m not sure what I would have done if I had not come upon such a step like this. I can at this time look ahead to my future. Thank you very much for the expert and effective help. I won’t think twice to endorse the blog to anyone who ought to have assistance about this matter.

  18. Hi Lovely,
I really enjoy your blog. It is so nice to read about the thoughts and experiences of another adventurer! Thank you for sharing…I look forward to reading more! 🙂
I was wondering if you’d be so kind as to look at my blog? I’m just starting out, but I think you will be able to resonate with the topics! 🙂

I am traveling to Thailand then to Laos and wondering if you can give me an advice. My flight gets into to Thailand midnight and will go to hotel then I will have to go to Hua Lamphong Train Station the next day. Did you arrange a private shuttle bus or have someone drop you off from the hotel to the airport to catch a shuttle bus there? I am planning a trip on May 2013. Thanks!

  20. Fanchone says:

Good day! This is my 1st comment here so I just wanted
to give a quick shout out and say I truly enjoy reading through your articles.
Can you suggest any other blogs/websites/forums that go over the same topics?

    Thanks for your time!

What do you think, is it Laos and Cambodia a safe place to travel alone? I’m female and i’m a bit worried because I’m never been there… I’ve been in Vietnam and Thailand (not alone, with friends ) and I know them’re safe for women. I’ve a plan to travel around the Asia by myself (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Malaysia)… Sounds crazy idea?

Your blog is so nice, really good information about transport etc… Thanks a lot.
