Legend of the Seas Asian Cruise Day 4: At Sea Cruising Back to Singapore

Legend of the Seas got the pic from http://www.iglucruise.com

Talk about unwinding, sitting back and relaxing. Sipping a hot coffee and reading a good book while gazing out at the blue sea. I guess this was our day 4 on the ship was all about. After our continuous travel from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, this is a perfect way to unwind and enjoy the different activities on the ship. Today we are cruising back to Singapore. The ship would be at the sea all day. This was our first time to spend a full day on the ship as we had our land tours in Malaysia and Thailand for the past two days. I was looking forward for this day because I wanna have the time to enjoy the ship’s amenities. It’s time to get comfy and cozy onboard! biggrin

At the Solarium - the ship's indoor pool

The Solarium is obviously my favorite place in the ship. Not only because it has the Pizza and Burger bar where I could order unlimited pizzas, burgers, french fries, and hot dogs for free mrgreen but also it has aircondition. I found it too hot at the ship’s outdoor pool area especially at noon time. Moreover, the Solarium has glass-walled windows and very comfy chairs where you could just sit back and relax. It’s a perfect place to read a good book or just gaze out at the beautiful sea and let your thoughts drift away. Emo mode. hehe. biggrin

The deep blue sea

Since this day was also our last full day on the ship, we took our time to have a picture with some of the ship’s crew.

Meet Wang our jolly room attendant from China

I also made my stay in the ship more memorable by trying out wall climbing for the first time. I was afraid that I couldn’t make it to the top at first but I was relieved to find it easier than I thought. What’s the most difficult part for me was when I already reached the top of the wall and the instructor was telling me to take my hands off the wall. I was so afraid to let go of the wall because I was on the top and I could see the vast sea all around me. I was afraid that I’m gonna fall down straight into the sea. hehe.

Wall Climbing in the ship

finally made it!

There’s also a mini-golf course in the ship but my mom and I didn’t try it because we don’t know how to play golf. mrgreen

After a day of relaxing and strolling around the ship, we already went back to our room to get ready for dinner. We were looking forward to take our dinner at the Romeo and Juliet Restaurant again. biggrin

With our waiters from India and Romania

Since this was our last night on the ship, the chef and the waiters sang a farewell song for the guests.

After eating dinner, we went to That’s Entertainment Theater to watch the Farewell Showtime for the guests.

Farewell Legend of the Seas!

Our last night in the ship

So as every trip has a beginning, every trip also has an ending. Though I dread the ending of our cruise and I was reluctant to leave this beautiful ship, I knew I  need to get back to reality. Still the cruise has to end tomorrow and we need to start packing our things for our flight back to Philippines. I’m just glad that as we leave the ship tomorrow, we’re gonna bring a lot of  beautiful memories that my mom and I will surely treasure for a lifetime. Though I would sincerely tell you that 5 days aren’t enough for a cruise, you’d find yourself very reluctant to leave the ship on the last day.  biggrin So I promised myself, next time I should save up more money and book for a 2-week cruise. hehe. But the cruise was really worth investing for. My mom and I found ourselves still daydreaming and reminiscing our cruise weeks after our cruise ended.  Once again, I wanna thank God so much for this blessing. I’m very grateful that even though this trip just started from an impulsive decision, still everything went well. Indeed, nothing is impossible with Him. biggrin

Our ship arrived the next day in Singapore at 7am. We spent the day in Singapore then I had a midnight flight back to Manila via Air Asia. That’s the ending of our cruise and perhaps  that’s also my last trip for this year. Looking forward for more travels next year! biggrin

        Hi Miss Lovely,
        Good Day!
What a lovely trip with ur Mom. I like the way you present your TRAVELOGUE. Right now, I’m planning to have one for my family – A Cruise just like yours but don’t know much how to start, where to inquire, what to prepare. Hope u can help me on this.
        God bless.

      • Hi Warren! Thanks for dropping by! I’m glad to know that you are also planning a cruise with your family. It’s all worth it. I’m sure you and your family will have a good time. There are many travel agencies on the internet where you can book the cruise. As for us, we booked our cruise through this travel agency http://www.cruisedirect.com/ Just go to that link and from there you can start booking your cruise. If you want a cruise on Legend of the Seas, then just choose the cruise line Royal Caribbean and Southeast Asia/ Far East for the destination. Then, you can pay the cruise online by credit card. After finishing the payment, they will send you your booking confirmation number. After that you can go to Royal Caribbean’s website (http://www.royalcaribbean.com) and create your membership account. Just input your booking confirmation number there and you can receive your cruise documents on the website. The cruise documents contain the information about the things that you have to prepare before the cruise. By the way, you need to get a visa for the countries that would require it.

Enjoy the cruise and feel free to leave a comment if you have additional questions 🙂

I just can’t thank you enough for your effort in documenting your cruise. Can I ask if you were blogging instantaneously or were you just writing based on what you remember based on the pictures? I really hope I can blog like you when I do my honeymoon. Thank you so much!

    • loydezra says:

On another note, can you send a list of other expenses you’ve made other than the Php. 23,800/head you paid the agency? (Like the one you paid the organized tours for Malaysia and Thailand?)

      • Hi Loyd. I sent the list of our other expenses in your email. If you have other questions, feel free to ask me 🙂

I started writing about the cruise after I return from my trip. And yes, I wrote based on my pictures. Please update me if you already have an entry about your cruise. I’m really looking forward to that 🙂

    Hi Lovely,
I finished all your Cruise series while here sa office (oops, dapat di ito mabasa. hehe). I’ve never thought about joining this type of tour in the future because I thought that it’s too expensive for my taste. However, upon reading your entries, I feel like I want to try it. I know this will cost more but with what you’ve shared, it seemed like you didn’t stress a lot about itineraries and such because everything has already been prepared for you. All you have to do is choose your own excitement for the day.

Even the cruise ship, it feels like I was there. Keep it up! Very personal basahin ang blog mo which is really refreshing 😀 More travels!

    • Hello Ed! Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I, myself, was really overwhelmed all throughout the cruise. They will really pamper you and treat you like a royalty. haha. But when I searched on the net, I was surprised to find out that some cruises are affordable if you’re going to save up for it. Overall, I really found the cruise worth of every penny I spent.

I think the cruise is really perfect to share with your loved ones such as family vacation, honeymoon, anniversary and birthday celebrations.

I’m sure carry na carry mo to. hehe. Be prepared lang to gain some kilos during the cruise dahil overflowing talaga yung foods. All the best Ed! I hope matuloy yung cruise mo someday. I’m looking forward to that 🙂
